Zulu History Experience

This unique Zululand history experience starts at about 05 H 00 in the morning when we leave St. Lucia on our way to the Nyalazi Gate of the Hluhluwe-Imfolozi game park.

We will enter the Hluhluwe –Imfolozi park as they open the gates and drive around looking for some animals before having breakfast at a look out point in the park. Whilst in the park expect to see some animals from the list below, and if lucky elephants in the road.
Lion, Elephant, Buffalo, zebra, rhino, a selection of antelope, a wide variety of birds and many smaller creatures such as warthogs or wild dogs.

The next leg of our trip will see us on our way to Ulundi, where we might get a glimpse of the longest trains in the world, carrying coal from the Vryheid area to the export terminal in Richards bay. Once in Ulundi we will visit a museum dedicated to Zulu History and a Zulu Royal residence, then have lunch at the Ulundi Holiday Inn.

After lunch we will drive through Emakhosini known in English as the valley of kings, because many members of the Zulu royal family are buried at numerous locations within this vastly rural heart of Zulu land.
